Ken & Michelle - we both grew up on rural properties in Australia and as a natural progression; our love of animals and nature evolved into an addiction for Africa and its wildlife. We started our love affair with the continent more than thirteen years ago and relish in sharing our knowledge, passion and experience with others.
Our passion for photography resulted in us beginning our working careers in the photographic industry over twenty years ago. After various studies we opened our own photographic studio, where we not only worked on the glamorous shooting side of the business but also developed a strong understanding and appreciation for the technical. Our experience has given us a great insight into all aspects of photography, from film and individually hand processed printing to moving with the times to adapt this past knowledge into the digital era.

We have had the pleasure of living and working in the East African bush for over 10 years and for many of those years we have been involved in the hospitality industry. Managing 5 star tented camps situated deep in the African bush, has given us valuable insight into the quality and service requirements and what a 5-star safari experience should be.

With our photographic and hospitality experience, you can be assured of the finest hosting and photographic guidance from start to finish of your safari.

As photographers we understand what other photographers are looking for during their photographic safari. Great pictures are a no brainer, but there are other aspects to consider; being in the right place at the right time to get the maximum benefit from your time in the field, good food, service and a well located camp in the heart of the action should also be at the top of everyone’s list.

Photographic tuition will vary for every individual, some wanting to know detailed camera settings i.e. ISO, shutter speeds, aperture settings, focal length etc. whilst others may prefer to be left alone, zoning out whilst shooting and asking questions later. Whatever the preference we will be on hand so you end up with the best possible images.

Please contact us with any questions direct using the contact page or email Ken on africanatureimages@gmail.com.

We can put a complete package together, or we can work with your prefered travel agent.
